Dante's Nirvana: Frances Bean and the Priceless Legacy of a Father
"You are all the unfortunate victims of a very large and very scary conspiracy."
Starting in the 1990s - there was an ongoing and massive heist of Kurt Cobain’s estate that charted in the $100s of millions. Unraveling how this occurred has been an ongoing endeavor, which includes fragments of information from court filings, news reports and Courtney Love’s prolific writing across the internet. Yet, there are still many unknowns and the theft involved many different entities and people over the span of decades. It will take a concerted effort via public pressure for Frances to get the justice she deserves.
A dizzying array of evidence is known, although the public’s attention has never laser focused in on this case. Isn't it convenient that Courtney is one of the most notorious people in the history of rock 'n' roll?
The Hollywood cartel that executed this heist is also enmeshed themselves in the estates of Tupac, Britney Spears, Mike Tyson and Michael Jackson. Whatever you may think of these celebrities - their families have been traumatized by these financial assaults.
These crooks acquire these celebrities’ estates by any means possible; this includes the active complicity of lawyers, psychiatric facilities, family court and more. After all - you only die once and managing the legacy of dead celebrities is a huge business.
The purpose of this article is to lay out the basic facts of this massive financial assault by focusing on a specific period when Britney Spears’ team became involved with Frances Bean Cobain.
Some may wonder: “Why should we care about robbing the rich?” You must consider the fact that in order to pull off a crime of this scale it necessitates multi-sector institutional corruption, as well as inordinate power to get away with it all. This has consequences for the general public - as the more resources criminals have at their disposal the grander the scale of their crimes.
"I have never seen such greed and moral turpitude. This case is going to make Bernard Madoff look warm and fuzzy," Love's lawyer, Rhonda J. Holmes, of Gordon & Holmes in San Diego, told Page Six. - April 7, 2009
Courtney Love Is An (Im)Perfect Victim
I entered this rabbit hole after the #FreeBritney movement bled into the mainstream media. It was immediately apparent to me that mainstream media was not serving the real story, as a lower class family could not have pulled off the heist of a century.
It was surprising for me to learn that Courtney Love had anything to do with people involved with Britney’s conservatorship and that Courtney had spoken out for Britney's freedom for well over a decade. This was shocking to me at first, as I never paid too much attention to mainstream pop culture.
Upon further consideration it made sense: Nirvana and Britney both have created some of the best selling U.S. albums of all time. Furthermore, I learned that the business manager that helped establish Britney’s conservatorship, Lou Taylor of Tri Star Sports and Entertainment, was intimately involved in the exploitation of Frances Bean and the Cobain estate.
In my obsessive investigation into these matters I found an archive of Courtney Love’s social media posts from the 2000s. The archive is 400 pages and its contents were jaw dropping. Although, Courtney is a writer of notoriously prolific screeds riddled with typos and poor grammar - I could read it and it blew my mind! (Perhaps because I am exceedingly good with language - I scored in the 96th percentile on the GRE. I’m a weirdo who studied the dictionary and writing is a manmade system so all these rules are truly arbitrary).
Courtney emotively wrote of the robbery of the Cobain estate: mortgage fraud, forgery, stolen documents and more. There were business names, addresses, dates, and names that I could validate by cross-referencing external documents.
Is it any wonder that it was infamous celebrities who were targeted by this gang? These celebrities’ flaws and/or alleged crimes are the exact attributes that void their credibility as being a victim of anything. Thus, it is their perceived moral defects that make them the perfect victims
(Note: I have edited all of Courtney’s writing for clarity and provide links to the primary sources.)
A Quick Summary
In December 2021 the Financial Times printed an article by Courtney Love. Given their stellar reputation they would have never published this article without fact checking every single one of Courtney’s claims of financial assault.
My family has been the victim of every single financial crime there is. I don’t want anybody to feel sorry for us, but some really horrible things have happened – we’ve had millions taken from us. It started a few years before Kurt [Cobain]’s death, in the early 1990s, and only got worse after he died. Recently my manager and an attorney discovered five forged wills of mine, 67 bank accounts, 102 Mastercards and Visas. There were Centurion cards with million-dollar credit lines – I found one that was being used in 2005 by someone I had fired in 1999! Basically, they stole every single cent. I was writing Tweets the other day about it all, but I didn’t publish them: each one sounded like a line of dialogue from Succession.
I started realizing all this was happening in 2002, and the FBI did a big investigation into it in 2006; but the point at which I realize how fucking stupid I was is an ongoing process. At its worst, we had LAWYERS and AGENTS trying to colonize our estate, and they froze my assets. From April to November 2011 I spent a lot of time living in a squat in Hackney. I didn’t even have the Tube fare – but I know how to be poor, because I come from punk.
…
I’d been screaming my head off about Britney Spears’ conservatorship for 13 years – ever since it began. I was the first to go after Harvey Weinstein publicly too. I was laughed at, derided and punished on both occasions, and I’ve had an existential crisis these past few years, asking: “What is the actual point of justice?” So seeing it come for my friends who were hit hard by Harvey felt nice. But seeing it with Britney? I’ve got to be honest: it feels fucking delicious! And if there is justice, really, I hope my family is next.”
- Courtney Love in the Financial Times, December 5, 2021
The Timeline
1994: Kurt Cobain dies. He had a will, but his estate was established as if he did not.
1997: A trust is established for Frances Bean in King County, WA.
2004: Courtney tells Blender magazine that $40 million was stolen from her and Frances by a fiduciary institution.
“I found out that our dog walker was making $100,000. One person put a BMW on my credit card. My daughter’s trust fund has been stolen from to the point where she may have, like, nothing. I can’t let this happen to Frances.”
Blender said “multiple parties close to Love agree that a large sum of money is unaccounted for,” while a former business associate who had access to her accounts in the past six months told Blender she is at at least “... $4 million in debt.”
2008: Courtney discovers that $8 million is missing from assets held in Frances Bean’s trust. Laird Norton is the Seattle based wealth management company that oversees Frances’ trust. Laird then stops sending Courtney financial statements for the trust. An article in Fair News Spears includes many more details regarding the trust, which is completely separate from the assets Courtney received after her husband died.
“As for the lost $8 million and who might be at fault, Love doesn’t have direct access to the trust and submits bills and receipts for Frances’ health, support and education, through a third party.”
December 2008: Courtney hires attorney Rhonda Holmes who begins investigating these financial crimes.
April 7, 2009: Rhonda Holmes issues a press release regarding theft in the Kurt Cobain estate and it is widely covered by the media. Rhonda said she would be filing a complaint within the next month.
April 27, 2009 - Unbeknownst to Courtney - Rhonda Holmes writes a letter to Frances Bean regarding the looting of the Cobain estate. The letter includes Rhonda making the statement that the Cobain family are "the unfortunate victims of a very large and very scary conspiracy," and that she had “personally experienced the reach and criminality of these thieves." Courtney did not learn about the letter’s existence until much later. Yet, the letter was never received by Frances. It was intercepted and delivered to the attorney Howard Weitzman (I will discuss him more later in this article). Immediately a plan was put in place to freeze Courtney out so that Frances could attain control of the estate and be pressured to waive her rights to get to investigate these financial crimes.
May 3, 2009: Representatives of Laird had a meeting with Frances without Courtney being present despite Courtney being the Advisory Trustee. Also present were Kurt’s mom and sister, the guardian ad litem Karen Boxx, attorneys Geraldine Wyle and Jeryl Cohen, as well as Britney’s business manager Lou Taylor. Frances was told Courtney was stealing from her despite the fact Courtney had not been able to act on behalf of the trust since 2006. Any expenditure over $5000 had to be approved by Boxx. Lou Taylor was jockeying to become the court ordered managing director of Kurt’s estate.
May 20009: Rhonda never filed the complaint. Rhonda later states that during this period she was intimidated by the same people. Rhonda says that her phone was tapped, her computer was tapped, $140,000 was stolen from her bank account and she experienced credit card fraud. There are conflicting statements about whether Rhonda was fired or quit the case.
July 8, 2009: Courtney posts on her MySpace blog about Frances being exploited by bankers and lawyers that control her trust.
November 25, 2009: Courtney has been talking to Britney's cousin Jessica Spears who told her that Jamie Spears had molested Britney. Courtney was trying to find a publication that would tell this story, but Jessica wanted to be paid for the story which undermines its credibility. Courtney wrote the following on Facebook:
“Britney’s dad molested her. Imagine the father that molested you - owning you for slavery, while you’re forced to sing songs picked for their sexual content every night, insane right? I’m SO not afraid of the little trolls who hit (hid?) this when I was f***** up… who are called lawyers. Let’s GO.”
December 5, 2009: Spears spokeswoman and business manager Lou Taylor denies that anyone in the Spears family is talking to Courtney and states:
“We’re not commenting on Courtney Love, or any aliens who might come to Earth to impregnate people.”
December 11, 2009: Two lawyers involved with Britney Spears’ conservatorship case, Geraldine Wyle and Jeryl Cohen, file paperwork for a guardianship for Frances Bean on behalf of Kurt’s mom and sister. Coincidentally, Britney and Frances were both assigned Reva Goetz as the judge overseeing their case in probate court.
Note: It only took two weeks from when Courtney posted about Britney’s exploitation on Facebook for these lawyers to file guardianship papers for Frances.
December 14, 2009: Courtney Love loses legal custody of Frances to Kurt’s mother and sister. - TMZ exclusive
December 16, 2009: Frances is granted a temporary restraining order against Courtney. - TMZ exclusive
January 2010: Laird Norton files to remove Courtney Love as Advisory Trustee for depleting Frances’ trust. I don’t believe anything ever came of the investigation into the missing $8 million. Courtney has asserted that within less than 2 years $40 million in liquid assets were drained from Frances’ trust.
January 2010: Francess’ restraining order against Courtney is extended to April 9, 2010
January 11, 2010: Reva Goetz is disqualified as the judge in Frances’ case due to prejudice because Courtney previously spoke out about Britney’s case, which Goetz oversees.
February 2010: Courtney files to remove Laird.
June 2010: Courtney tweets:
"I was fucking devastated when Rhonda J. Holmes, Esquire, of San Diego was bought off @FairNewsSpears perhaps you can get a quote." - @courtneyloveuk
August 18, 2010: Frances’ 18th birthday and Courtney tweets the following to Frances:
I love you. You’re 18 now: do NOT allow any guardianship to continue whatsoever! They’ll lie to you tell you the guardianship "has" to continue… No it doesn’t!
No lawyers! Free yourself now! They’ve built a tower of terror in the REAL word FBC! If you don’t want to talk to me - we won’t talk. Stop paying $!
NO LAWYERS! I LOVE YOU!
Sometime in 2010: “Love ceded her management role in Kurt’s estate in exchange for a $2.75 million loan from her daughter's trust fund. Until the loan is repaid, Love is not entitled to income from any new deals relating to Cobain's image.” Courtney says she was misled regarding what she was actually agreeing to and this is how Frances’ handlers ultimately wrested control of Kurt’s estate from Courtney. The ultimate goal being to selloff these valuable assets, including Kurt’s publishing rights.
May 27, 2011: Courtney is sued by Rhonda Holmes for defamation for her June 2010 tweet about Rhonda being "bought off”.
January 26, 2014: Courtney won the lawsuit Rhonda Holmes filed against her for defamatory tweets.
December 16, 2020: Many news outlets report on Courtney’s instagram where she answers a question regarding wether Lou Taylor tried to put Courtney in a conservatorship. Lou Taylor’s lawyers were quick to try to get these articles pulled across the internet.
December 19, 2020: Jordan Miller of the Britney fansite Breatheheavy issues a retraction for posting an article regarding Courtney’s comments about Lou Taylor’s involvement with Courtney Love and Kurt’s estate. He takes down the article, apologizes to Lou Taylor and Tri Star and publishes Lou’s refutations of Courtney’s claims.
Lou Taylor’s attorneys demand the following statement is published:
"All of these statements are false and defamatory."
"The true facts are as follows:"
"1. Lou Taylor and Tri Star never represented Courtney Love, Kurt Cobain, their daughter, or any entity affiliated with them. Lou Taylor and Tri Star also never even had a single conversation or communication whatsoever relating to a possible conservatorship for Courtney Love. They also have never even spoken to or communicated with Courtney Love ever."
"2. Lou Taylor and Tri Star also had nothing to do with the planning or creation of the conservatorship for Britney Spears. They were hired to be Ms. Spears’ financial manager a year after that conservatorship had already been put in place."Let me contextualize Lou Taylor’s refutations of Courtney Love’s claims:
Lou never represented the Cobain family or estate. She was attempting to be the court appointed manager of the estate, but Courtney was able to fight her off and have Alan Goldman appointed instead. Notice that Lou did not refute that she ever met Frances Bean. They were circumventing Courtney’s authority over Kurt’s estate by going through Frances. Given Courtney’s unbiteable tongue - is it not surprising there is no paper trail?
Emails have been submitted as evidence in Britney’s ongoing probate case that prove Lou Taylor’s involvement in planning Britney’s conservatorship. This Lou jockeying to become Britney’s co-conservator, as well as planning the judge selection.

Rhonda Holmes’ Letter to Frances Bean
April 27, 2009
RE: Estate of Kurt Cobain et al Fraud Litigation
Dear Ms. Frances Cobain:
By way of formal introduction, my name is Rhonda Holmes, and I am an attorney. I represent you, along with your Grandmother Wendy, and your Aunts Kim and Brianne. The work I am doing on all your behalf relates to tracking down and prosecuting the people and entities who have been stealing from and pillaging your late Father’s estate since the day he passed away. I write this letter not in way to bring up matters which are upsetting and painful to you. But rather, I write you now because we all need your help and your support.
Let me be clear at the outset, it is beyond dispute you will not “need” the funds from your late Father’s estate as you embark on your own career endeavours. No one doubts your ability to earn money independently of your parents. Your Mom assures me you are a disciplined and focused young lady. Your Mother boasts to me incessantly of your genius. Even if you want nothing to do with your late Father’s or your Mother’s money – that misses the point. The point is, your Grandmother should be living in a large, comfortable ranch, as should your Aunts.
You are all the unfortunate victims of a very large and very scary conspiracy. I have personally experienced the reach and criminality of these thieves. They have hacked into my PCs (on one such occasion, to make my legal brief in this very case “disappear”). Used my credit cards all over the county, and accessed/drained my savings account. I am here to ensure these thieves do not mess with you anymore. Your Mom tells me the story of what these people did to you when you were only 11 years old. These evil and vile animals had no conscience whatsoever when they displaced your family. You were still healing the wounds. (and I imagine still are) of your Father’s painful passing. These people are evil and deserve to pay. Not so much for the money for you or for your Mother, but at least for your Father’s Mother and Sisters. You are all innocent victims in this horrible mess. And you are.
Here again, I am not usually one to impair so much unsolicited pedantic rambling, but I cannot help but say to you, I pray not a moment is spent on this planet when you ever blame yourself. You, an innocent little child did nothing but deserve to be loved, nurtured, and protected. I am so sorry for what you went through. I pray you don’t spend one moment in guilt or remorse.
So too, are you, your Grandmother and your Aunts innocent victims in this fraud being perpetrated on your late Father’s estate.
Frances – I am a trial lawyer, specializing in complex commercial litigation matters. I have handles these types of cases successfully throughout my 21-year career. I have recovered multiple millions (if not billions) of dollars for people in your family’s situation over the years.
I am a four-time recipient of “Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award” and recent “Trial Lawyer of the Year”. I mention these accomplishments not to boast, but hopefully to give you a sense that you are in good hands, and to instil in you the confidence I wouldn’t be handling this matter if I were not abundantly confident the facts are on our side.
Your Mother has been handling this matter on her own now for long. Even though I am now on board, I do not get the sense your Mom can ‘let go’ until the case is filed and begins running its course.
I doubt I need to convince you how much this matter has consumed your Mother and threatens to destroy her spirit.
The sooner I have your support and hence the support of your Trust Fund, the sooner I can ease this matter out of your Mum’s hands.
To reiterate, the purpose of reaching out to you at this point is to enlist your support. The last thing any of us want, least of all our Mother, is for you to be dragged into a long court battle. Of particular importance will be the support of your Trust when it comes time for filing suit. We will need their support. We will all need to unite to make this a successful endeavour.
On the subject of trust funds, they are strange animals. They do not always pay all the funds out when you are 18 like you would assume (unless a particularly stupid parent ordered it, or they are small). You do not have 1/1,000,000th of what it appears you should have in my view.
My experience has shown me, the minute you turn 18 they will try and make you sign a waiver stating you will never sue them.
They are likely saying terrible things about your Mother. Sadly, in 1998, they managed to get away with, in my opinion, taking advantage of your Mom’s lack of scholastics and education (billing you millions of dollars, while your mother never billed you a penny). They accused your Mother of “diverting money in 2003”. Your Mother has an absolute discretion in this regard. Not one of your “protectors” (lawyers, bankers, accountants, managers, etc.) stood up for this. They had too much of an interest in keeping you and your Mom in the dark, sadly. They do not seem to be operating any more “openly” today. For example, we are presently trying to find out how much you lost in the huge economic downturn in recent months, and simply getting no responses whatsoever to our inquiries.
You see, Frances – 3 things are very important:
I am here and I am not going to let those who perpetrated fraud against your late Father’s estate and your family get away with it. You have my word on that. I am here to protect your interests, as well as your Grandmother Wendy’s and your Aunts Kim’s and Brianne’s interests. They don’t have to pay me a dime.
Your Mom – all she wants is for you to be secure and safe. I am. Going to make sure you and your family are safe and secure so your Mom does not have to do all of this work. I know she would much prefer being a Mother and an artist. Please stand by us and continue to be patient.
No one has stopped these frauds from attacking your Father’s estate and pillaging it. And for the sake of everyone, it needs to stop, and time is of the essence.
Thank you for taking the time to read and consider this letter. Please call me if and whenever you need. My office number is xxxxx. My cell phone number is xxxxx. My email address is xxxxx.
With love and warmest Regards,
Rhonda J Holes, Esq
Courtney Love’s Legacy
Courtney is inconvenient for the powers that be, as most celebrities are loathe to risk their celebrity status by standing up for human rights. Is it any wonder that one of the most outspoken artists of our time has one of the most derided public images?
The idea that women have to be "likable" is rooted in misogyny and demands that women exert emotional labor so that they generate “comfortable” feelings for others. This is particularly true for women who have passed out the ingenue “it girl” era of the career - and most celebrity woman never even get cast for their second era on the public stage.
Courtney has been banging away on the internet since we entered the chat. As we entered the new millennium - Courtney wrote a seminal article in Salon defending artists and fans alike in regard to the major labels’ concerns about Napster. She was hopeful that we could cut out the middleman between fans and artists.
This dream has thus far not been realized, but perhaps now is the time. The music industry is currently more consolidated than ever, yet this makes it much easier for fans to identify the culprits of consumer and creator exploitation.
It's a radical democratization. Every artist has access to every fan and every fan has access to every artist, and the people who direct fans to those artists. People that give advice and technical value are the people we need. People crowding the distribution pipe and trying to ignore fans and artists have no value. This is a perfect system.
Courtney even showed humility when she lamented how other artists and herself failed to assist Pearl Jam when they went up against Ticketmaster in the 1990s.
Just last year she received a lot of press for pushing for more diverse inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
If the Rock Hall is not willing to look at the ways it is replicating the violence of structural racism and sexism that artists face in the music industry, if it cannot properly honour what visionary women artists have created, innovated, revolutionised and contributed to popular music – well, then let it go to hell in a handbag.
Courtney further went out on a limb and said some members of the Hall of Fame board were complicit in Britney’s labor trafficking. Courtney is the most prominent person that has stated the obvious: A low class family from Louisiana could not have pulled off this scale of a heist and media blackout. This conspiracy was carried out by the top players in the music industry with the benefit of the state of California’s willingness to look away.
She had also been vocal about fighting back against ‘problematic’ business executives, as Hole frontwoman defended Britney Spears in the ‘Free Britney’ campaign against her business manager, Lou Taylor, who reportedly considered Azoff, a mentor. So, while criticizing all these business moguls and how they would do anything for money, Love turned the crosshairs to U2 and Bono.
She discussed how U2, a pioneer when it came to standing up against injustices and always siding on the right side of history, recently gave up all they’ve fought for and signed into Azoff’s ‘Full Stop Management’ while giving in to the mogul’s business and scoring themselves large bonus checks.
Frances Bean, Britney Spears, & Paris Jackson
Even if you have zero empathy for what happened to Courtney – consider that the same type of crimes have happened to many of our most beloved artists and their loved ones.
I find myself falling into voluble madness as I struggle to convey to the public the truth and heart of these matters. What does it mean for creative freedom if there is such stringent gatekeeping into the entertainment industry that also has access to extrajudicial means of subjugation?
Does it seem implausible that Britney Spears is unfamiliar with the fact that her conservatorship team laid siege to the Cobain estate?
Coincidently, the day it was announced that Britney’s conservatorship attorneys, Geraldine Wyle and the Jeryl Cohen, were going to subpoenaed - Paris Jackson posted a video of her listening to Nirvana’s song Lithium. Yes, this same network is also deeply embedded within the Michael Jackson estate too.
A Howard Weitzman Interlude
Howard Weitzman was the attorney that set up the May 2009 Team Con meeting with Frances in order to Freeze Courtney out of the estate. Weitzman was also involved with Michael Jackson and Britney Spears. Whatever you think of Michael Jackson – think about what they did to his children, who don’t control his estate, and the powerful network required to pull this off.
For decades - Howard Weitzman was intimately involved in suspicious business dealings with Irving Azoff - who I believe is the Final Crime Boss in the Entertainment Industry. Much can be said about this crew and Courtney has mentioned explicitly that they are the silent founders of TMZ. I will just let you wonder why Irving would be so pressed that Weitzman’s former law partners would remove his name from his old law firm.
“I’ve never heard of any of you guys,” goes a message from Irving Azoff directed at the firm, “but put Howard’s name back on the door and I will hire you to sue someone. P.S. Shame on you.”
Jon Eardley & California Probate Mafia
Jon Eardley is the lawyer that Britney chose to represent her in 2008, but the court ruled she did not have the capacity to hire an attorney. Part of Eardly’s argument was that Britney’s conservatorship was being used as a cover story to hide financial crimes. Michael Sands was Eardley’s publicist at the time and emphatically stated: “Britney is not a money launderer.”
At the time MTV reported on Eardley’s claims:
Sands claimed the theft is on a grand scale, involving racketeering, wire fraud and money laundering, and that the theft occurred prior to the conservatorship taking place and continues still…
Sands claimed that there is an ongoing criminal investigation into the matter, but declined to say which agency was involved. As a result, he said, his office has been broken into and documents have been allegedly stolen and/or erased from his computer. "Lives have been threatened," Sands said. "People are being intimidated. It's terrorism. I don't want to make any accusations, but we're talking the financial rape of Britney Spears."
MTV, February 25, 2008
The Twitter account @RyannTheSagi has an excellent timeline of Eardley’s involvement with Britney’s case.
Upon Courtney's entanglement with probate court in 2010 Eardley reached out to her network and warned her of the strategies used by the “probate mafia". In this era Courtney was inundated with 100+ cases filed against her as a part of a plan to weaponize the court against her. These overwhelmingly frivolous claims are then used to make claims in the tabloids (TMZ is a huge culprit) to publicly smear and discredit her. There’s not much anyone can do when they are faced with such an efficient machine.

Ultimately, John Eardley was disciplined by the California Bar for trying to help Britney under the pretense she did not consent to his representation. Eardley was later disbarred for a matter involving a different client. During the heyday of the #FreeBritney movement Eardley’s former attorney had this to say:
“Where is [Jon Eardley]?” Roger Diamond, a lawyer whom Eardley hired to represent him in his dealings with the Spears family, asked. “Have you talked to him? I haven’t heard from him in years.” Diamond added, of the conservatorship hearings, “I think Jon stumbled onto a real scandal in the probate law of California. It was shocking to me to see the way in which there was room for favoritism on the part of the judge. I had the feeling, in the courtroom, that there was a coverup going on, and it was my job to pierce it, and yet nobody was coöperating.”
Jon Eardley and the California Bar
Eardley has been battling the California Bar for over a decade. Many documents are available on the Internet Archive. I am not an attorney, but it would be beneficial to have an attorney review all these documents and publish their assessments.
The filings claim the California Bar is a criminal enterprise and Eardley asserts there was a powerful network of people and entities out to sabotage his life. Claims include government sanctioned laundering of money through casinos and the involvement of disgraced attorney Tom Girardi, as well as the Bravo Network and the reality show Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Circumstantial evidence is clearly available to link the State Bar of California to the operations of the Commerce Casino for a period in excess of thirty years, and as part of the “secret government project” involving the United States by and through the auspices of the Central Intelligence Agency.
Part of this “project” involves the laundering of money pursuant to schedule. Having drug money laundered at the Commerce Casino nets the Casino approximately $100,000.00 per specified millions of dollars exchanged, all in violation of 18 U.S.C. Sec. 1956-1957.
- Jon Eardley’s court filing on October 19, 2021, p.30
These are claims paint the picture of an unbelievable conspiracy that reaches into the heart of the federal government. I’d argue these claims deserve to be investigated in detail given the recent information regarding corruption at the California Bar and Girardi’s upcoming trials involving wire fraud and other charges.
In recent years it is has been revealed that decades of complaints against Girardi were ignored by the California Bar.
One month after [Girardi’s wife] Erika filed for divorce, the former couple were sued for allegedly embezzling money meant for Girardi’s clients. The lawsuit, brought on behalf of several families who lost loved ones in the Lion Air Flight 610 crash, claimed that Girardi and Erika embezzled at least $2 million in settlement funds meant for families of those killed in the crash — a case Girardi settled against Boeing in 2019.
“Tom has resorted to embezzling the proceeds of settlements that should have been directed to his clients — including, as the basis for this Complaint, the widows and orphans who lost loved ones in the tragic crash of Lion Air Flight 610 — in order to continue funding his and Erika’s lavish Beverly Hills lifestyles,” read the complaint obtained by PEOPLE.
As for the investigation into the California Bar there has been ongoing developments into the sheer depth of the corruption.
More than 1,600 attorneys have been suspended by the California State Bar for violating rules about client trust accounts that were set up after disgraced L.A. attorney Thomas Girardi allegedly stole millions of dollars from his clients.
The Need For A Broader Investigation
It is beyond the scope of this article to lay out all the facts of corruption at the California Bar and within the “probate mafia”. Yet, there are a number of pertinent facts I would like to emphasize:
There was routine and widespread rule breaking going on by California attorneys as it pertains to administering clients’ trust accounts.
A pattern exists between a small group of lawyers’ involvement in the exploitation of celebrities’ estates, including Kurt Cobain, Britney Spears, and Michael Jackson.
Jon Eardley was disciplined by the California Bar in the early 2010s for attempting to help Britney Spears. He later alleges the California Bar and the Real Housewives franchise are part of a criminal enterprise that involves money laundering via casinos.
Girardi’s wife Erika Jayne was able to file for divorce ahead of Tom Girardi’s scandal breaking. She has been able to minimize public questioning as to the scope of her complicity in any of Girardi’s crimes.
Erika Jayne soon thereafter becomes involved with Britney’s manager Larry Rudolph, who is a part of Live Nation. They subsequently launch her Las Vegas residency. Live Nation is at the heart of the development and execution of Britney’s Vegas residency, which laid the foundation for the contemporary rebirth of Las Vegas as an entertainment mecca.
Let’s circle back to the beginning of Britney’s conservatorship… it also involved Eardley, casinos and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Jamie Spears and Larry Rudolph were in business with George Maloof who was the owner of the Palms Casino prior to and during the conservatorship. When the conservatorship was instituted Jamie Spears was the personal chef to Adrienne Maloof who was a founding cast member of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
